This thing sits like a grounded UFO in Washington State Park.

Of course, it's an entirely routine bit of infrastructure, found in one form or another at almost every state park. And it's not an uncommon form of water tower, either; since I took this picture, I've noticed towers in this pattern all over the Ozarks. There's probably a factory somewhere that turns them out, and a whole commodified process for shipping and erecting them.

Again, not unexpected. Except for the john boat. I supposed every now and then, someone needs to go out in the lagoon for some reason of maintenance or another.
